revertant

Having reverted to the normal phenotype, usually by a second mutation.

A revertant organism, cell, or strain.

In heraldry: Flexed or reflexed—that is, bent in an S-curve.

Bent twice at a sharp angle, like a chevron and a half.

That has reverted to its former genotype or to the original phenotype by means of a subsequent mutation.
