A machine for making the embossed or raised points used in New York point-printing for the blind upon sheet-metal plates, the plates being designed for use in an embossing-press for transferring the points (characters, letters, etc.) to paper. It is an adaptation of the kaleidograph and differs from it in employing a fly-wheel, operated by a foot-pedal or other power, to operate the embossing mechanism, the selection of the points and their position being controlled by the operator by means of the keyboard.
